Of course today a lot of people are a bit scared of working at the airports due to terrorism threats and related things. But actually people tend to see the problem and don’t see the solutions. All the current threats have caused counter-measures and today flying and working at the airports is 100 times safer than it was before all the problems started! Another reason is the stress that is usually present in every airport. Lot of people tend to skip the airport jobs section because of that, but unfortunately most of the jobs today have the stress option included. This means that starting at such a stressful place as an airport you will be able to get more tolerance toward becoming annoyed. Needless to say that this will be helpful not only in a professional career but also in everyday life.
Nevertheless modern airports are much much more than you might even think. Like for exemple : When a person buys a ticket and have to show his ID to check the name on the ticket , what information appears on the computer besides the name? like age, gender, nationality, or whatelse ?etc… how is that an airport caught criminals and terrorists?

Terrorists and Criminals are put on a watch list, when you check in and give your passport or other ID you are flagged in the computer. Caught….

Question by mfchl: How does airport security work with out-of-the country fliers?
My mom is a Peruvian citizen, she is coming over to visit me after six years since I moved to the US. I would like to take her on a couple of domestic flights to visit relatives in other states. How does airport security work with a non-citizen flying domestically? What kind of documentation, besides a passport, should we have and what does the process entail? She is a senior citizen and I wouldn’t want to have her go through a bad time due to airport officials being difficult when she is coming to have a good time.

She should be fine with a passport, especially since she will be with you and also because Peru is not a country that we worry about. if it were Venezuela, she would probably be stopped and searched, and possibly detained, but as a Peruvian she will probably be fine.
I would recommend that on the first domestic flight you show up at the airport with an EXTRA hour, just in case. I think the likeliest problem is if she has a common hispanic name, which could match someone on the “no fly” list. Best to leave some extra time just in case…

Heathrow Airport
At time of writing, there are 4 open terminals at Heathrow, 1,3,4 & 5. (terminal 2 is currently closed).Each terminal has a myriad of shops, restaurants and facilities for you to choose from. (too many to mention but let’s just say you could shop and eat for days!!)Travel between terminals depends on which two you are traveling between. Terminals 1 and 3 are close together at the centre of the airport and joined by an underpass with moving walkways. Simply follow the signs for your terminal. For all other terminals, there is the Heathrow Express rail shuttle. (Make sure you board the correct train). If you prefer, buses run between the terminals. This service is free and buses stop close to the terminals. The destinations are clearly marked to the front of the buses, but if you feel unsure, ask the driver.

How far is Trivandrum airport from Trivandrum centrail train station? Considering traffic conditions in the morning, how long would it take to reach from the airport to the station? Are taxis readily available from the airport? I have never been to Trivandrum. Any tips about the traffic and/or public transport conditions?

Distance from Trivandrum Railway Station to Airport is about 6 kms and would take 20-25 minutes to reach. Please take a taxi from the airport. Taxis are readily available.
Don’t worry… It’s a lovely city… No tips needed my friend… Just take a taxi from the airport to the railway station…
