Question by geoff: what happens if i couldn’t sign on at the job center due to the strike?
I usually sign on on a tuesday every other week. However this week i couldn’t sign on because the staff at the job center were on strike.
Where does this leave me?
Will my JSA be paid this week?
EDIT – Phoned them up today.
If you cannot sign on because the job center is closed or striking, they automatically sign you on for that day/week and you just go in as normal on your next sign in day.

There are times in our lives when we’re unable to control outside factors affecting us. This is apparently one of them. Call and ask or wait until the following week to see if any undesirable action has been taken. Surely there’ll be opportunity to rectify injustice.
